The Butcher's Table is a grill-focused steakhouse on Jalan Klapa in Kampong Glam, opened in April 2025 as an extension of The Meatery, the gourmet butcher brand founded in 2019 by husband-and-wife team Renga and Sophina. The restaurant has been described as a halal steakhouse, with beef sourced from overseas farms that raise cattle without antibiotics or growth hormones, and a dry-ageing fridge at the back where beef is aged in-house.
The menu is short and lets the meat lead, with few heavy sauces. Dry-aged cuts include an F1 wagyu picanha, a bestseller, a 30-day dry-aged Black Angus ribeye, Japanese Miyazaki beef and Black Angus bavette. Beyond beef there are lamb Denver ribs and cutlets, aged grilled chicken, slow-cooked oxtail, sea bass and a cauliflower steak for vegetarians, with sides such as truffle pomme purée and maple-glazed Brussels sprouts with beef guanciale. Premium steaks are priced by weight, so the bill climbs with the cut.
The Butcher's Table takes pick-up orders through its own online store, which lets you order steaks to collect for a dinner at home. The restaurant is at 8 Jalan Klapa, between Bugis and Lavender MRT stations, on a quiet lane near the Kampong Glam conservation area. It has been reported as open Tuesday to Sunday for lunch and dinner, with a break in the afternoon. It suits steak lovers and Muslim diners who want halal dry-aged beef.
