Paper Rice at The Star Vista is on the ground floor of the mall at 1 Vista Exchange Green in Buona Vista, a short walk from Buona Vista MRT on the East-West and Circle lines. It sits among the offices and research buildings of one-north, so weekday lunches are busy with nearby workers, while evenings and weekends bring residents of Holland Village, Ghim Moh and Dover.
Run by the Arteastiq group, Paper Rice cooks over 100 dishes drawn from northern to southern Vietnam. Pho in slow-cooked beef bone broth is the mainstay, from a beef combination bowl to the Wagyu Waterfall Beef Pho with fire-torched wagyu. Bun bo Hue, bun cha Hanoi, banh mi, banh xeo crepes and spring rolls cover the rest, with egg coffee and Vietnamese drip coffee to drink. The menu includes pork and alcohol, and it is not halal-certified.
Ordering is done on Paper Rice's own online store, where you choose Star Vista as the outlet and pick delivery or self-collection at a time slot. Set meals for two to six people make an office lunch order straightforward.
